Traverse City Record-Eagle
---- — TRAVERSE CITY — Many local residents fielded a phone survey from an unfamiliar Utah area code about Traverse City Area Public Schools’ failed $100 million bond proposal.
The survey was conducted by the Lansing-based firm Public Sector Consultants, and was one of the final steps in TCAPS’ extensive review of last year’s failed millage, Superintendent Stephen Cousins said.
The review included an online survey, public forums and focus groups. Public Sector Consultants used information gathered from those tools to craft the survey, which collected 400 responses from registered voters.
Survey results will be available next week, and will have a 95 percent confidence rating, Cousins said.
The district paid roughly $9,000 for the survey. Public Sector Consultants uses a Utah-based call center.
