Lessons and Carols

TRAVERSE CITY — Bethlehem Lutheran Church invites the community to a Service of Lessons and Carols.

The service will start at 5 p.m. Saturday and will be repeated at 10:30 a.m. Sunday,. There also will be an intergenerational Christmas Program presented from 9:15-10:15 a.m. on Sunday in the fellowship hall. Call 947-9880 to learn more.

Open house

TRAVERSE CITY — Ranch Rudolf will host a Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The event will be held from 1-4 p.m. and features horse-drawn sleigh rides, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas carols, and hot dogs cooked in an open fireplace.

Donations of non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, baby items, and new toys are requested. Toys should be wrapped and marked for a boy or girl with the appropriate age on the tag. Donated items will go to the Women’s Resource shelter and The Baby Pantry.

Resolution Run

TRAVERSE CITY — Early registration continues until 6 p.m. Dec. 28, for the inaugural Resolution Run 5K to benefit the Traverse Health Clinic.

The run starts and ends at Little Fleet, 448 E. Front St., and follows a course through downtown Traverse City. Online registration is $35 at www.traversehealthclinic.org/resolutionrun/ and includes a T-shirt.

Packet pick-up is from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Cartridge World on South Airport Road.

Race day registration is 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Little Fleet.

Cash and checks only will be accepted on race day.

Winter warm-up

MAPLE CITY — The Leelanau Outdoor Center will host a “Winter Warm-Up Gathering” on Sunday.

The event from 3-5 p.m. includes ornament making, cookie decorating and winter tales by storyteller Jenifer Strauss. Hot chocolate will be served. The cost is $3 per person and all ages are welcome.
