Central recruiting meet workers

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Central Track and Field program is recruiting track and field enthusiasts to become members of the “Trojan Track and Field Home Team,” a crew of 20 experienced volunteers who will work at home track and field meets this spring.

To be considered, applicants must have knowledge about track and field. Volunteers will be needed in high jump, shot put, discus, pole vault, long jump, timing, recording and meet clerk.

Candidates should plan on committing about three hours on meet days. There will be eight meets in all, starting April 4. Most meets start at 4 p.m.

The volunteers will be managed by the high school coaching staff’s meet manager. Student volunteers will assist all crew members with their duties.

Individuals interested can contact Athletic Director Cody Inglis at inglisco@tcaps.net to receive an application. The deadline is March 22. An introductory meeting for crew members will be held April 2 at the high school track.
