Leland, Bear Lake win volleyball district titles

LELAND — The host Leland Comets defeated Traverse City Christian tonight to win a Class D volleyball district championship.

Leland won in three straight games by scores of 25-22, 25-8 and 25-20. The Comets advance to face Bear Lake in a regional semifinal on Tuesday in Buckley.

Bear Lake won its district title by defeating Forest Area tonight in Frankfort 27-25, 26-24 and 25-18.
