Minervini to speak

TRAVERSE CITY — Ray Minervini, partner in the Minervini Group at Grand Traverse Commons, will be the featured speaker for Cottage Coffee, beginning at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, at Hawthorn Cottage on the campus of Grand Traverse Pavilions. There is no charge and the public is invited.

Minervini will provide an update on the construction at Building 50 and The Commons. He will share information on future plans for the development. Cottage Coffees are held on the second Tuesday of each month. The program is intended to be an educational outreach for members of the community.

Old Mission cookout

TRAVERSE CITY — The Old Mission Congregational Church will host a cookout beginning at 5:30 p.m., on July 9 at the church located at Swaney and Mission Roads. A free will donation is requested for the dinner featuring hamburgers, brats, hotdogs and desserts made by ladies from the church.

Pasty dinner

FRANKFORT — A pasty dinner, benefiting Benzie Home Health Care will be served from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, July 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The $10 adult meal includes a homemade pasty, salad, beverage and ice cream sundae. $5 children’s and take-out meals are also available.

Water awareness

ALDEN — Three Lakes Association invites the public to Water Awareness Day, an environmental fair and fundraiser to be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, July 12 in Alden Depot Park. A suggested donation of $25 per family includes all exhibits, activities, door prizes and food.

St. Mary chicken dinner

LAKE LEELANAU — The St. Mary annual summer festival and chicken dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 13 at 307 S. St. Mary St.

There will be something to do for all ages including Bingo, a quilt raffle, country store, 50/50 raffle, kid’s games and more.
