Career fair expected to attract hundreds

TRAVERSE CITY — In need of a job or internship?

Northwestern Michigan College’s seventh annual Career Fair will be held today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hagerty Conference Center.

Each year, the event — the largest of its kind in northern Michigan — draws hundreds of people from the community. This year there are nearly 90 employers, making it a prime occasion for creating opportunities not just for students, but anyone looking for work.

Employers from professional and occupational fields will be recruiting for career-track positions, seasonal and entry-level opportunities, as well as internships, service learning and networking opportunities.

Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally, bring resumes and be prepared to talk to local employers about their open positions and opportunities.

The Hagerty Conference Center is at 715 E. Front St. and offers plenty of parking space.

Registration is not required.
