Winter Warm Up

TRAVERSE CITY — The Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula will team up with Peninsula-area restaurants and businesses for the 2013 Winter Warm Up Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guests can purchase a souvenir mug for $15 at the Old Mission wineries on the day of the event. The mug serves as a "ticket" into each participating winery and business on the Peninsula.

Tickets are available at any winery the day of the event.

Weekend class

ELLSWORTH — The House on the Hill B&B, in collaboration with the new owners of the former Tapawingo restaurant property, A Matter of Taste, will hold a cooking class featuring Fustini's Oils and Vinegars.

Running Feb. 22-24, the class, featuring Fustini's owner and founder Jim Milligan and includes a wine and cheese social, cooking instruction and training resulting in a meal, two nights at the bed and breakfast, an autographed book, an oils and vinegars sampler pack and more.
