Because of a reporter’s error, a comment by Rosemary Hagan, executive director of the Father Fred Foundation, was misrepresented in a Wednesday’s story about grants to nonprofits from tribal gambling revenue. Hagan said state programs can’t address all of the area’s needs for home heating assistance and the $60,000 received in 2012 from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians helps the foundation fill that gap.


A Wednesday story about Northwestern Michigan College recording meetings contained an error. NMC would incur an estimated one-time cost of $35,000 for equipment under one scenario.
