Recipe of the Week: Chili-Cheese Dip

We're a little light on submissions for Recipe of the Week here at the Record-Eagle. Especially with the holidays coming, it would be great to get a new rush of good recipes to share among ourselves. And we have a nice supply of aprons to give away.

So how about it? We print your recipe. We send you a Record-Eagle apron.

Meanwhile, here's one of ours that probably came from a Recipe of the Week several years ago. But it works in a pinch for unexpected guests. It's quick, easy and people — especially kids — love it.

Don't like to cook with prepared foods? Make your own chili.

But keep the ingredients on hand and you'll always be ready with a quick snack or appetizer.

Chili-Cheese Dip

1 8-oz. cream cheese

1 can chili, no beans

2 c. grated Cojack or Mexican blend cheese

1 small can chopped green chiles

Tortilla chips

Spread cream cheese across bottom of a pie dish. Spread chili on top. Spoon green chiles over that. Sprinkle with cheese. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, until cheese is melted and it's warmed through. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
