Just wondering

I was just wondering.

1. Was our recent gift from Social Security for $250 really needed or was it used to help make us seniors forget about the possible health care rationing?

2. If we keep moving closer to Russian-type socialism will our people become as lazy as they were there?

3. Why do the few people who spiritually believe in atheism get to control our public sector?

4. Who do you trust more, your local insurance agent or your United States senator?

5. Are Fox News and Rush Limbaugh good modern-day examples of Radio Free Europe and Voice of America?

6. How long until People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals lobbies for free health insurance for disadvantaged pets?

7. Are inner-city math scores falling because if you have big government handouts you really don't need to get a good education and take care of yourself?

We need a change

Mr. Michael Moore bought me a ticket to his new movie "Capitalism, A Love Story," at the State Theatre. The movies he makes voice the concerns that many of us feel and bring these issues to the consciousness of many others so they may wake up and smell the coffee! Some of these issues that I am referring to are national health care coverage and corporate control of our democracy.

To those of us who are aware that this country needs a change for the better for the common man it is time to stand up and take accountability. Being conscious of the problems is only the first step, and I feel that we have already climbed it.

Now it is time for the people to take action and make the change happen. Use your democratic power because if we continue to sit on the couch and watch on the news as we keep getting screwed by corporations, pretty soon we will be powerless!
