Grants available for health clinics

TRAVERSE CITY — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is offering grants of up to $15,000 to free and low-cost health clinics through its Strengthening the Safety Net grant program. Financial fitness workshop

Employment law for nonprofits

TRAVERSE CITY — The Northsky Nonprofit Network and Michigan Community Resources are sponsoring a session called Employment Law for Nonprofits Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Minimum wage discussion

TRAVERSE CITY — The Grand Traverse County Democratic Party is sponsoring a free event where attorney Mark Brewer will talk about the benefits of raising the Michigan minimum wage. The discussion will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Minerva’s Restaurant.
