Derk Pronger named Munson COO

TRAVERSE CITY — Munson Medical Center's Vice President of Operations Derk Pronger was named the hospital's chief operating officer Tuesday.

Pronger is responsible for the center's daily operations as COO. The change came from the hospital's initiative to restructure and align itself with changes in the health care industry.

Pronger joined Munson in 2012 after working at Beaumont Health Systems. He was raised in Traverse City, received his associate degree from Northwestern Michigan College, his undergraduate degree in accounting from Purdue University and his master's degree in health services administration from University of Detroit Mercy.
