GLEN ARBOR — Former Supreme Supreme Court Chief Justice Elizabeth Weaver, will be speaking on her new book, “Judicial Deceit: Tyranny and Unnecessary Secrecy at the Michigan Supreme Court”, at the Leelanau Independent Women for Democratic Action group meeting beginning at 4 p.m., June 11, at the Leelanau School.
Weaver presents a Seven-Point- Plan for Michigan Supreme Court Reform. She will be signing copies of her book immediately following her talk. This presentation is free and the public is invited. For more information call 642-1391.
TRAVERSE CITY — Bestselling Michigan author Mardi Jo Link will be launching her latest work, “Bootstrapper” from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, June 15, at Brilliant Books in Traverse City. This memoir is a tough look at some of the hardships involved with life in Northern Michigan.
