n Annie Bouwens has been named the assistant branch manager for Traverse City State Bank's downtown branch. She has almost four years of banking experience, most recently as the customer service manager at another area financial institution.

n Chad Pyle has been promoted to vice president of technology services for Terrapin Networks. He brings more than 12 years of technology experience to the position.

n Andrew K. Shotwell has become a shareholder of Smith and Johnson, Attorneys, P.C. and has been elected to serve on the board of directors.

n Michael Haid has joined Right Management, Great Lakes Region as executive vice president, talent management and global strategic workforce consulting.

n Conflict Resolution Services, a nonprofit alternative dispute resolution center serving the Grand Traverse region, has named Rebecca Garland as director. She has been a volunteer mediator with CRS since 2009.

CRS also welcomes two new members to its board of directors: Marian Kromkowski of the Suttons Bay law firm Kromkowski and Posner; and Ross Hammersley of the law firm Olson, Byzdok and Howard.

n Realtor Bob Brick has assumed full ownership of ReMax Bayshore Properties Ltd. With 39 years in the industry, Brick had shared ownership with brokers Ron Tousain and Rick Stein for more than 25 years.

n Jim Jeffreys has been promoted to general manager of Fox Charlevoix and Fox Charlevoix Ford. He has 30 years of experience and is a 2012 graduate of the Fox Motors General Manager Mentor Program.

Awards & Recognition

n Scott Sehi, one of WIN Home Inspection's top Strategic-Partners in Traverse City, was honored recently at WIN's annual conference. He was awarded a "President's Premiere" award for completing nearly 500 inspections in 2012. He was also a recipient of a Customer Service Award, in which his location received an exemplary 94.6 percent customer satisfaction rating this past year. Sehi is ranked in the top 10 in customer service within the entire company, with over 171 locations in 27 states.

n Northwestern Bank's IRA specialist Robin Hines was recently awarded the Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association in Washington, D.C.
