Prior to retirement she was employed at the T.C.R.P.H. for many years.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, coin collecting, playing cards, Tiger baseball and most importantly, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the "apple of her eyes." Shirley will be sincerely missed by her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her children, Linda (Bob) Sniff, of Traverse City, Marcia (Martin) Hayward, of Kansas City, Lori (Jerry) Maue, of Jenison, Bill Yokeum, of California, and Mike (Debbie) Yokeum, of Walker; grandchildren, Mike (Susan), Erin (Mark), Jason, Kim (Jay), Matt, Chris, Nick, Maddie, Adam, Bridget and Hillary; great-grandchildren, Keisha, Charity, Evan, Ella, Kayla and Jayden; sister, Joyce Weathers; sister-in-law, Betty Chandler; and many other loving family members and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Chandler; sister, Betty O'Dell; and grandson, Bradley Yokeum.

No services are planned at this time.

A special note of love and gratitude is extended from Shirley's children to Aunt Joyce for all of the care, devotion, comfort and strength she provided for our mother.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Michigan at HOM.org or Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging, 400 S. Boardman Ave., Traverse City, MI, both of which made it possible for her to remain in the comfort of her own home until her passing .

Please sign Shirley's online guestbook at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com.

The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
