- Scott Crumbaugh is the new regional manager for CGB-Diversified Crop Insurance Services. He will be responsible for maintaining current relationships with agents, as well as developing new business in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan.

- The American Red Cross of Northwest Michigan has announced the addition of U.S. Coast Guard Commander Sean Cross to their local Board of Directors.

 

Awards

- Jim McDonnell and Laverna Witkop, two Life + health representatives with Ford Insurance Agency, were recently honored by the Leading Producers Round Table division of the National Association of Health Underwriters. McDonnell and Witkop both qualified to receive the organization’s Soaring Eagle Award, given to National Association of Health Underwriters members who have achieved exemplary success in both client service and overall industry expertise.

- The Little Traverse Association of Home Builders has announced the winners of awards for distinguished service to the association and community.

Cindy Pasant and her employer Great Lakes Plumbing and Heating. Pasant currently serves on the Little Traverse Association of Home Builders board of directors and is vice president of the Professional Women in Building Council. Pasant and Great Lakes Plumbing and Heating have also been highly involved in the annual golf outing, the Festival of Trees, the Tailgate Mini- Expo and the Northern Michigan Home Show.

Jim Knibbs of Knibbs Building and Remodeling was recognized as the association’s Builder of the Year for 2013 for his leadership toward the group’s mission as well as a high level of expertise in green building techniques, high quality of his building projects and client satisfaction.

Carl Wagar of Wagar Builders received the associations President’s Award in recognition of meritorious service to the construction industry. Wagar has amassed hundreds of hours mentoring high school age students seeking to enter the trades after graduation. He is a member of the Michigan Construction Teachers Association, as well as the developer and supervisor of the Garage Build Program offered in cooperation with Petoskey, Pellston, Boyne City and Charlevoix Schools.
