Zachary Douglas Jenkins, 25, of Kalkaska passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013.
Zach is the dear son of Julie (Scott) Park of Kalkaska and Shawn Speer of Chino, Calif.; the loving brother of Adam (Samantha) Jenkins of Sterling Heights, and Derek (Jen Mandruch) Kurtz of Highland; the beloved grandson of Arden and Margie Jenkins of Kalkaska; the cherished nephew of Cynthia (Terry) Arsnoe of Kalkaska, Shane (Jennifer) Jenkins of Kalkaska and Star Hayden of South Lyon, and great- aunts and uncles; the cherished uncle of Zachary Ryder Jenkins and Anarchy Star Kurtz. Zach was very close with several cousins and three special furry friends, his dogs and a cat, Herbal, Remy, and Oz.
Zach was born on Jan. 11, 1988, in Traverse City. He worked at Springfield Commercial Roofing in Kingsley. His favorite hobby was riding and fixing 4 wheelers/dirt bikes. Zach also enjoyed bonfires with good friends and he especially loved the farm and countryside. He was a true country boy at heart.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home. The funeral is Tuesday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Kalkaska Church of Christ, with additional visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Dan Johnson will be officiating.
Memorials may be given to the college fund for his nephew, Zachary Ryder Jenkins, with checks payable to Adam Jenkins, 106 S. Cherry St., Kalkaska, MI 49646.
