— Road work in the area this summer


Reconstruction of Grace Road between M-22 and Forrester Road in Gilmore. Onemonth project begins end of May. Expect detour and traffic delays.

Chip seal project on Cinder Road between Pioneer and Thompsonville Highway in Honor. Begins early June and will last less than a month.

Guard rail replacement, trenching, shoulder widening on Fowler Road between Valley and Haze.

Guard rail replacement on Reynolds Road between Cedar Run and Davis Lake Road


Reconstruction of a mile section of M-22 north of Suttons Bay in August and September with flag control. Resurfacing sections of M-22 north of Glen Arbor in August with flag control.

Resurfacing, shoulder widening and repaving on Center Highway from East Fouch Road to East Lakeview Hills Road in Elmwood Township. Will likely begin in May.

Undercutting and repaving on County Road 645 from Gatzke Road to County Road 643 in Solon Township. Estimated July start date.

Mucking along South Maple Valley Road between Otto Road and South Lake Leelanau Drive in Bingham Township. To begin midsummer.


Sight distance improvement and paving on Innis Road from Plum Valley Road to Antrim County line. Complete by end of June.

Possible overlay and shoulder work in Clearwater and Blue Lake townships.


MDOT will shift M-37 at Sherman Hill between Buckley and Mesick to straighten the road and reduce the grade. Motorists will be detoured onto county roads. The project will begin once spring weight limits are lifted and should be completed prior to the start of the National Cherry Festival.

MDOT will install the first traffic roundabout in the area at the intersection of M-37 and M-115. The project will begin after Cherry Festival and traffic will be detoured.
