Concert on Lawn

TRAVERSE CITY — The folk music of Peter, Paul & Mary Remembered will be featured Thursday, July 25, on the Grand Lawn of the Grand Traverse Pavilions.

The performance starts at 7 p.m. This is the first time the group has appeared at the series. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

Picnic concessions open at 6:15 p.m. and include hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, beverages, sweets and Moomer’s ice-cream. Raffle tickets for a drawing with a $1,000 cash prize also will be available. For details, call 932-3027 or visit www.gtpavilions.org.

Bay Ridge bash

TRAVERSE CITY — Paid reservations are needed before Friday, July 26, for Chef Tony’s Summer Celebration at the Village at Bay Ridge.

The event starts at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the retirement community, 3850 Scenic Ridge. It includes a barbecue ribs outdoor picnic, tours of the community, and music by Dominic Fortuna. The cost is $12 per person.

Art Park concert

THOMPSONVILLE — The Fauxgrass Quartet will perform Friday, July 26, at Michigan Legacy Art Park on the grounds of Crystal Mountain Resort.

The Michigan folk scene mainstay will perform music that fuses experimental sounds and traditional bluegrass at 7 p.m. Rides to the amphitheatre start at 6:15 p.m. for those unable to walk the trail. In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors at the resort.
