FINDLAY, Ohio — Michigan was the winner of the inaugural Border Classic football game on Saturday, defeating the Ohio team 27-14.
Michigan took control of the game in the third quarter, scoring two rushing touchdowns that put it ahead 24-7. The first score was a 60-yard scamper from Central Michigan-bound Devon Spaulding, while Eastern Michigan recruit Ian Erikson added a 10-yard burst for a score later in the quarter. Michigan finished the game with 240 yards rushing.
U-M-bound Jared Wangler was the Defensive MVP from Michigan. Marshon Lattimore was named the Offensive MVP for Ohio.
