Greiner gets deal with Dutch team

ZWOLLE, Netherlands — Former TC St. Francis and Lehigh University basketball standout Holden Greiner has signed to play with Landstede Zwolle in the Dutch 1st division.

Greiner averaged 13.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals — all career highs for the Mountain Hawks this past season. As a junior he was part of a Lehigh team that shook up the NCAA Tournament with a second-round victory over second-seeded Duke — one of only seven times a 15th seed has won its tournament opener.

2nd annual Downhill Race

THOMPSONVILLE —Crystal Mountain and Corepower are proud to present the second annual Crystal Trifecta Downhill Mountain Bike Race Series. The first of three races will happen Aug. 17 with a course preview at 11 a.m. and racing at noon.

The race series pits riders (13 years old and older) against trails carved out of the woods, hills, and ski runs of Crystal Mountain. Each of the three races is run on a different downhill trail, each one a challenging mix of tight turns, steeps, and jumps.

“We built the trails with one thing in mind, a great downhill experience for riders,” said Crystal’s Janice Davidson. “Each trail has its own flavor and its own technical challenges. It’s a great mix that makes for a fun series of races for the riders and the fans.”

The top three finishers of each race will be awarded medals, and the top three racers in the series will be given medals and additional prizes.

The second race of this year’s Crystal Trifecta will be Sept. 14th; the third and final race will be Oct. 19th — the same day as Crystal’s Peak 2 Peak Mountain Bike Classic.

Registration for each race is $20 or $50 for the three race series. To register, riders can call 800-968-7686, ext. 7500.
