Chamber program

TRAVERSE CITY — Applications are being sought for the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce’s leadership development program, Leadership Grand Traverse. Application deadline for the Fall 2013 class is Friday, Aug. 23.

The session begins with orientation in mid-September and continues through a closing retreat and graduation ceremony on Nov. 19. Participants are prepared to take on decision-making roles in areas of policy, program implementation and organizational maintenance.

They are immersed in day-long training sessions on the local economy, arts and cultural offerings, natural resources, education, health and human services and more.
