LAKE LEELANAU — Alfonso Ponticelli and Swing Gitan, Chicago’s premier gypsy-jazz band, will bring the 1930s style of gypsy jazz music to Fountain Point Resort today, June 23.

Evening strolls

ALDEN — Thursday Evening Strolls will be hosted June 27 through Aug. 15 in downtown Alden.

River Street fun

ELK RAPIDS — The “Evening on River Street” series ushers in a summer of fun on Wednesday, June 26.

The weekly “Street Fair” is hosted from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 14, with a variety of entertainment. The Lost Hitch Hikers Band, an acoustic trio, will kick off the series. Mesick Museum

Trillium Quartet

BELLAIRE — The Trillium Quartet will give a concert at Church in the Hills, 6401 Shanty Creek Road, on Thursday, June 27.

The a capella group will perform a selection of spirituals, show tunes and popular songs at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Music on mountain

GLEN ARBOR — The Homestead Resort’s Mountain Top Concert Series opens with guitarist/composer Ron Getz.

The concert will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 27. Tickets are $15 per concert in advance; $20 at the door. ‘Peter Pan’

MANISTEE — “Peter Pan” takes flight on the stage of the historic Ramsdell Theatre, 101 Maple St., and the box office opens for ticket sales at noon Wednesday, June 26.

BACN benefit

BENZONIA — Llama Meadows Eco Farm will host a concert by the band Freya to benefit Benzie Area Christian Neighbors.

The quartet will play a program of euro-folk-jazz music from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the farm, 1176 West St. The suggested donation is $20 and proceeds benefit BACN’s food and utility assistance programs.

Summer at Pine Hill

ELK RAPIDS — Pine Hill Nursery is offering a summer of gardening classes, tours and workshops.

The nursery is planning 11 hands-on Make and Take Workshops, three Herbal Hour workshops, a free Private Garden Tour series of three area gardens, four interactive classes for children, four Art & Wine Evenings, three Plein Air Watercolor Painting Classes led by artist Mary Guntzviller, a Claudia Schmidt concert and two art shows.

‘Tarzan’ tickets

TRAVERSE CITY — Tickets are on sale for Miracle Productions summer production of “Tarzan the Musical.”

This is Miracle Productions ninth season of Broadway-quality musical theater productions. It also is one of the first theater companies in Michigan to perform this family-friendly musical based on the Disney film.
