ALPENA — After dropping the first game of their weekend series with Alpena, the Traverse City Hounds were back on the winning track Saturday night, recoding a 4-1 victory over the Street Cats.
The Hounds (12-2-0-2) scored two goals each in the second and third periods and David Krejcik stopped 24 of 25 shots in the victory.
Cam Fisher and Patrick Rogowski scored second-period goals — with assists from Zach Early, Tyler Thirlby and Fisher — before Alpena drew within a goal on a Konstantin Khramov score three minutes into the third.
Jacob Gillis struck off Alex Devries and Jordan Ruterbusch assists and Matt Passino added a power-play goal off Gillis and Kevin Hansen helpers to put Traverse City back in control.
The Hounds return to Traverse City for a Nov. 15-16 two-game set with Detroit.
