n Kent Wood, the legislative director for the Michigan United Conservation Clubs since 2011, will take over as the lead government liaison and lobbyist for the Traverse City Area Chamber and the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance. Wood replaces Doug DeYoung, who recently accepted a position with Consumers Energy.

n Marion Stephens, Farm Bureau Insurance Agent in Traverse City, earned the company’s Advisor of the Month Award. The Advisor of the Month Award is presented to veteran Farm Bureau Insurance Agents who demonstrate their ability to help clients with the products they need and the service they deserve.
