TRAVERSE CITY — Marjorie M. Rysztak, age 87, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Munson Medical Center. She was born May 9, 1925, in Detroit, to Clarence and Dorothy (Senkbeil) Anderson.
In 1941 Marjorie married the late Stanley Joseph Rysztak. Together they raised one son, Lawrence.
Marjorie worked as a riveter on airplanes during World War II.
She enjoyed reading, traveling and doing stamp art work. Marjorie loved being a wife and mother and spending time with all her family.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Larry (Janet) Rysztak, of Bellaire; four grandchildren, Abbi (Matthew) Ansorge, of Interlochen, Paul (Tammy) Collins, of Wolverine, Ben (Suzie) Collins, of Central Lake, and Joe (Julie Goddard) Collins, of Wolverine; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Loren (Gloria) Anderson, of Howell, Gordon (Loraine) Anderson, of Alger, and Russell (Emily) Anderson, of Livonia; and a sister, Karen Harper, of South Lyons.
Besides her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Anderson; and great-grandson, Seth Boss.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
