SUTTONS BAY — Ashley Bartkowiak of Traverse City and Adam Sohasky of Suttons Bay exchanged marriage vows on July 21, 2012, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. The Rev. Leonard Paul of the Diocese of Gaylord officiated at the noon nuptials.

Becky Franke of Livonia attended her friend as maid of honor. Ashley chose as her bridesmaids Shalynn Domke of Antigo, Wis., Laura Gunderson of Norway, Mich., Claire Knoche of Mosinee, Wis., Susan Olson of Duluth, Minn., and Rachel Bartkowiak of Pittsburgh.

Jason Sohasky of Suttons Bay served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Joe Dalton of Gambell, Alaska, P.J. Darga of Wauwatosa, Wis., Matt Klein of Suttons Bay, Andy Olson of Duluth, Minn., and Brandon Bartkowiak of Pittsburgh. Brent Evans of Weirton, W.Va., and Nick Darga of Traverse City were ushers.

The couple greeted guests at a reception at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City. Cocktails were followed by dinner and dancing. The newlyweds are living in Stevens Point, Wis.

Ashley is the daughter of Mike and Marylou Bartkowiak of Traverse City. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Northern Michigan University, with a major in secondary mathematics education and a minor in secondary geography education. Ashley currently is studying toward a master of arts degree in educational technology from Michigan State University.

Adam is the son of Dan and Laurie Sohasky of Suttons Bay. He graduated from Suttons Bay High School and received a bachelor of science degree with a major in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. Adam is employed as a civil engineer by the Canadian National Railroad.
