Has the experience

Kirsten Keilitz is the most qualified candidate for Probate Judge.

She has served as a Referee for more than three years and has heard more than 1,000 family law cases.

Kirsten worked in private practice before serving as a Referee, in various areas of family law including custody, divorce, guardianships and conservatorships. She has the experience for Grand Traverse County's busy court.

Vote Kirsten Keilitz for Probate Judge on Nov. 6.

An honest man

I'm voting for Gary McDowell.

Unlike his opponent, farmer McDowell doesn't stretch the truth to fit a hidden agenda. He's an honest man.

I hope my fellow moderate Republicans will join me in supporting Mr. McDowell in the November elections.

Voters aren't ignorant

Voters are not ignorant. The ad sponsored by Protecting Michigan Taxpayers is lying and using fear to oppose Proposal 2, Protect our Jobs.

This is a proposed amendment to Michigan's constitution that would guarantee union rights to both public and private sectors.

As a former contract negotiator, I know the second paragraph of a contract states, "The law supersedes this contact."

School employees focus on the best interests of their students and their safety.

This ad is an insult to all the hard-working employees of Michigan's unionized school districts.

This is blatant union busting affecting all Michigan citizens.

Vote.

We've made progress

Are we better off now than the fall of 2008? Yes. In fall 2008 we were losing 600,000 jobs a month, bailing out our failing financial industry, unemployment at 14 percent, government spending at 7.5 percent of gross domestic product, major industries near bankruptcy.

Today we are adding 100,000 jobs a month, all industries improving, unemployment at 8 percent, government spending at 1.4 percent of GDP (the best since Ike).

Are we back on top? No. Have we made good progress? Yes We need to stand with the party of, by and for all the people. Yes, we do.
