Man slain in suburban Detroit hotel, suspect held

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) — A 26-year-old man is jailed in connection with the apparent stabbing death of a Southfield man at a hotel.

Southfield Police Lt. Nick Loussia says in a release that the slaying occurred about 11:20 a.m. Thursday north of Detroit at the hotel on Telegraph Road in the Detroit suburb.

Loussia says there's a "known relationship between the suspect and the victim," who's described as in his 50s. The suspect lives in Southfield.
