Off-duty Detroit officer, husband slain in home
REDFORD TOWNSHIP — An off-duty Detroit police officer and her husband were found Thursday shot to death at their home in a suburb just west of the city.
Family members told WXYZ-TV that Officer Anna Hamilton and her husband were having marriage problems.
Redford Township police said in a release that they are “not actively seeking any suspects.”
Detroit police Chief James Craig says the officer had been with the department for 16 years. He says she was “well-liked” and a “great officer.”
