Hines braces for record

She needs only 8 points tonight to break state mark

CENTRAL LAKE — Stephanie (Hass) Manthei knew this day was eventually coming. Manthei, who played at Harbor Light Christian, is Michigan's all-time leading scorer in girls' basketball. Central Lake's Jasmine Hines is poised to break Manthei's career point total of 2,732 tonight when the Trojans host Inland Lakes. Hines needs eight points, which could come in the first quarter.
