Hounds rout Bloomington Jr. Blaze

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Scott Luca and Cam Fisher each scored two goals as the Traverse City Hounds routed the Bloomington Jr. Blaze 8-0 on Saturday.

Luca and Fisher had one goal apiece in the second and third periods, when the Hounds (10-1) scored six times. Austin Flores and Cory Bussing gave Traverse City a 2-0 lead after the first period. Alex Devries added a second-period goal and Zach Early netted a goal in the third.

David Krejcik got the shutout after facing 32 shots.

Jacob Gillis, Austin Flores and Matthew Passino each added two assists. Devries, Clayton Dowlan, Patrick Rogowski and Tyler Thirlby also had assists.

Cameron Lerner and Paul Stomper shared goaltending duties for the Blaze (2-6), with Lerner making 13 saves and Stomper making 14 saves.

The two teams face off again today at 11 a.m. in Bloomington.
