Central, West boost playoff chances with wins

TRAVERSE CITY — Ethan Campbell had two touchdown runs in the second half to lead the Traverse City Central Trojans to a 28-20 win over Ogemaw Heights tonight at Thirlby Field.

The Trojans are now 5-3 on the season and need a win at home next week versus Division 4 No. 4 Cadillac (7-0) to guarantee a playoff berth.

Traverse City West also moved to 5-3 with a convincing victory at Gaylord tonight, 48-0. The Titans face Division 4 No. 9 Allendale (6-1) at home next Friday.

Both the Trojans and Titans may have a chance of qualifying for the playoffs even if they lose next week.
