Jackson confirms firing Rosenhaus

PHILADELPHIA — DeSean Jackson has confirmed that Drew Rosenhaus is no longer his agent.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver says he hasn’t decided on new representation, despite reports he’s leaning toward Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports.

“I don’t know right now,” Jackson told reporters Tuesday. “It’s a lot of thoughts. The (reports) are what they are, but coming out of my mouth, I don’t know yet.”

Jackson cited “personal issues” for dismissing Rosenhaus, who negotiated a $51 million, five-year deal for him last March.

Jackson, though, owns a record label and is a hopeful rapper. Perhaps hiring a hip-hop mogul could help his music career.

Ohio St. president retires after jabs

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State University President Gordon Gee announced his retirement Tuesday after he came under fire for jokingly referring to “those damn Catholics” at Notre Dame and poking fun at the academic quality of other schools.

The remarks were first reported last week.

Keselowski loses 6 points

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — NASCAR penalized Brad Keselowski and crew chief Paul Wolfe on Tuesday for failing a post-race inspection at Dover.

Keselowski and car owner Roger Penske were each docked six points, and Wolfe was fined $25,000. He was already on probation until the end of the year because NASCAR found illegal parts on the No. 2 Ford at Texas in April.

The loss of points drops Keselowski, the defending Sprint Cup champion, from eighth to 10th in the standings.
