GOLF

ST. MARY GOLF-A-THON — JUNE 7

The St. Mary School's 19th Annual Golf-a-Thon is set for June 7 at Bay Meadow Golf Course.

More than 20 golfers are out seeking pledges for this event, that has annually netted over $30,000 to support St. Mary School.

BELLAIRE LIONESS CLUB — JUNE 14

The Bellaire Lioness Club will host a benefit outing on Friday, June 14 at Shanty Creek's Summit course.

The event , for women golfers, is a 9-hole four-person scramble. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shot gun start at 8:30. Lunch and prizes are included in the $45 per person registration fee.

Registration forms are available at the Summit course or by calling 231-676-0994. The deadline is June 7.

For 35 years the Lioness Club has provided funding for community projects. Beneflciaries have included Meadowbrook, Bellaire schools, the Commission on Aging, Bellaire Public Library, Relay for Life, Community Food Pantry, Antrim Baby Pan ry and American Red Cross.

Z-TEE OFF — JUNE 19

Zonta Club of Traverse City is hosting its 30th annual Z-Tee Off outing on Wednesday, June 19, on the Mountain Ridge course at Crystal Mountain Resort.

Zonta is an international service club that uses it funds to advance the status of women and children locally and worldwide.

The event features prizes and awards. Prizes include rounds of golf at Crystal Mountain and area golf courses, a Bay Shore Resort stay, a Tall Ship Sail and jewelry by James C. Smith. There's also a hole-in-one contest with a car from Cherry Capital Cadillac. Lunch is sponsored by Huntington Bank. The cost is $125 per person and includes golf, cart, lunch, golf clinic, dinner, snacks, gifts and prizes.

Check in time is 10:30 a.m. with a golf clinic at 11 and the shot gun start at noon. Dinner and prizes are at 5 p.m.
