(Continued)

Central Lake 1

Bellaire 0

Central Lake finished off a Ski Valley Conference sweep spread out over two days, eking out a 1-0 victory over Bellaire.

The Trojans won the opener Monday, but the second contest was called due to rain.

Allie Hines stuck out eight and allowed only two hits to pick up the win. Lauren Rogers was 1-for-3 with a run.

Rogers’ hit was the only one off Bellaire starter McKenzie Verellen — and that one actually was in the first inning Monday before the game was called. Verellen ended up with 12 strikeouts.

Lindsay Lampman, Ali Lampman and Michaela Watson had hits for the Eagles, who travel Thursday to Forest Area.

Central Lake (4-0, 2-0 SVC) hosts Pellston today.
