In the nightcap, Zipp tossed a five-hitter and struck out eight. Sutherland had a home run and four RBIs on two hits, Moon doubled twice and scored three runs,

Will Telgenhof had two hits and two RBIs for the night, while Tag McCreadie added two hits and an RBI.

The Rayders (7-1, 4-0 LMC) host Rudyard on Thursday.

LL St. Mary 2 4

Frankfort scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to force extra innings, ultimately tying Lake Leelanau St. Mary 2-2 in the seven-inning first game of a baseball doubleheader on Tuesday. In the second game the Panthers took a 10-4 victory.

Nolan Nye fanned 12 in six innings of work for the Panthers. Sam Tiesworth added three strikeouts in one inning of relief. Jack Garthe pitched a complete game for St. Mary, allowing three hits.

Nye, Cole Hollenbeck, R.J. Kennis and Brennan Flynn had hits for Frankfort. For St. Mary, Nate Schwarz, Tristen Peabody, Dan Bardenhagen and Garthe had hits.

Kennis got the win in the second game, striking out nine in four innings. Sam Stockdale worked two innings of relief with three strikeouts. Owen Stratton hit a solo home run that was the spark in a three-run fifth inning for the Panthers and ended the game with two hits. Nate Frieswyk also had two hits for Frankfort (9-2-1).

Bardenhagen, Leif Mohrman, Christina Doran and John VanRaalte collected the hits for St. Mary (1-1-2).

Glen Lake 2 12

Austin Olson slugged a bases-loaded single that was part of a three-run sixth inning as Kingsley slipped past Glen Lake 3-2 in the first game of a baseball doubleheader on Tuesday. The Lakers got revenge in the nightcap, posting a 12-8 win to split the two games.
