CENTRAL LAKE — Harbor Springs and Mancelona will be able to go head-to-head again at the state finals.
The Rams and Ironmen finished first and second, respectively, in both the boys and girls Division 4 cross country regional at Central Lake.
They'll be running in the Nov. 3 state finals in Brooklyn, joined by Johannesburg-Lewiston in girls and Rogers City in boys.
The Harbor Springs girls won with 32 points to Mancelona's 84 and Joburg was just a point back of the Ironmen.
Harbor's Rhi Cullip won the overall boys regional crown with a 19:32.6 to win the 5K race by almost a minute.
She was followed in the top 10 by Boyne Falls' Erica Westbrook (20:28.7), Mancelona's Isabella Tremonti (20:48.3), Harbor's Jessica Worm (20:51.5), Joburg's Maddy Showerman (20:58.4), Gaylord St. Mary's Christina Smith (21:02.8), Inland Lakes' Hannah Passino (21:05.5), Lincoln-Alcona's Megan Quick (21:05.8) and Harbor's Kaitlyn Alessi (21:07.8) and Claire Fleming (21:11.2).
Harbor's boys won with 31 points to Mancelona's 64, while Rogers City was a distant third at 134.
Bellaire's Troy Clovis too the boys' crown in 17:06.2, winning by 7.4 seconds over Harbor Springs' Marcus Garrow. The rest of the top 10 was Mancelona's Shayne Dingman (17:25.8), Joburg's Andrew Morehouse (17:30.1), Harbor Springs' Michael Gorman (17:38.5), Inland Lakes' Duane Vizina (17:41.2), Pellston's Connor Kintz (17:42), Harbor's Trevor Rohrer (17:54.7) and Jeffrey Howard (18:06) and Onaway's Joe Traynham (18:12.2).
