‘We Ski’ program set for January
TRAVERSE CITY — The North American VASA, the Vasa Ski Club and Timber Ridge Resort are partnering to offer the “We Ski” program for a fifth season.
The program will be held on three consecutive Thursdays in January. The program, which has a limit of 90 registrants, has sold out each year.
“We Ski” is designed to introduce families and individuals to the benefits and enjoyment of cross country skiing. Participants range from novice to advanced. Vasa Ski Club members will offer instructions for both classical and skate skiing.
A healthy meal will be served in the Timber Ridge lodge after each session — as well as a snack before the class.
Ski equipment is the responsibility of the skiers. Rental equipment is available at Brick Wheels and at Timber Ridge on a first come-first served basis. Supply is limited at both locations. Since the program is limited to 90 skiers, preference for registration will be shown to new participants. Fees are $45 for a family, $30 for individuals. That covers the entire program. The Timber Ridge trail pass is included in the fees.
For more information call 938-4400 or visit vasa.org and vasaskiclub.com.
