FROM STAFF REPORTS
Traverse City Record-Eagle

---- — GRAYLING — Glen Lake’s golf record didn’t stand for long.

After the Lakers set the school 18-hole record with a 398 at the Lober Classic last week, Glen Lake smashed that mark Monday at the Grayling Invitational.

Smashed might even be taking it lightly. The Lakers broke the record by 41 strokes.

Their 357 won the event by four shots over Harbor Springs, followed by Grayling (397), Petoskey (400), Farwell (406) and Cheboygan (432).

“The kids played really well,” Glen Lake coach Paul Christiansen said. “We had personal bests for three of the five.”

Nichole Cox was second overall in the event — tied with Harbor Springs’ Ellen Breighner — with an 80. Farwell’s Bria Colosky was the medalist at 74.

The Lakers’ other scores were Melanie Kulanda (90), Skylar Gleason (91), Nicole Pace (96) and Madison Hill (104).

Glen Lake plays again today at Manistee National with a dual meet against the host Chippewas.
