Grayling, Cadillac to meet for regional crown

GRAYLING — Grayling and Cadillac will meet for the Class B regional crown here Wednesday night.

Cadillac, tri-champs of the Big North, upended Bay City John Glenn 62-39 on Monday while Grayling edged Gladstone 73-68.

Cadillac ousted Grayling in the regionals a year ago.

"They're very good, outstanding," Grayling coach Rich Moffit said of Cadillac. "We'll have to play great basketball."

Jalen Brooks and Nick Paquet led Cadillac to its win with 14 points apiece. Ben Mackey added 13.

Grayling (19-5) was led by Scott Parkinson's 24 points in its win over Gladstone. Justice Juntilla added 15 points and 11 rebounds. It was a two-point Grayling lead, 50-48, after three quarters.

Mike Cretens led Gladstone with 20.
