Reports: Pistons add backup center Gray

AUBURN HILLS — According to multiple media reports, the Detroit Pistons have agreed with center Aaron Gray to a two-year contract.

Free agents can’t sign contracts until Thursday.

Gray (7-0, 270) played 37 games last year for Toronto and Sacramento. He has averaged 3.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 318 NBA games, including 87 starts.

Gray’s signing could mean the Pistons will release center Josh Harrellson, whose non-guaranteed contract can be terminated without penalty by July 20.
