Sports in Brief: Bums rained out, play two tonight

TRAVERSE CITY — Friday’s night scheduled Frontier League series opener between the Traverse City Beach Bums and Lake Erie Crushers was postponed due to inclement weather.

The teams will play two seven-inning games tonight, starting at 6:05. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

Friday’s postgame fireworks show will be made up at a date to be determined later in the year. Tickets for Friday’s game can be exchanged at the Beach Bums ticket office for any remaining regular season home game.

Tonight will be Wilderness Night at Wuerfel Park. Kyle Randall, host of the Wilderness Journal, will be on hand to sign autographs, throw out a first pitch, and participate in on-field activities.
