Team Near edges Team Far, 9-6

TRAVERSE CITY — St. Francis pitcher Tyler Waslawski earned the win as Team Near beat Team Far 9-6 in an All-Star baseball game at Traverse City Central.

Waslawski, who has signed with Goshen, pitched two innings, allowing one unearned run. He struck out three. Kingsley’s Matt Bartz also allowed just one unearned run in two innings.

Glen Lake’s Trevor Apsey scored two runs and had one hit for Team Near. Traverse City Central’s Josiah Lopez-Wild added two hits while his Trojan teammate Cam Givens contributed a double.

Onekama’s Dallas Hearit had a hit and scored two runs for Team Far.
