Harman to play in all-star game
MOUNT PLEASANT — Traverse City native and Central Michigan University senior kicker David Harman will play for Team Michigan in the 2013 Ohio vs. Michigan Senior Bowl.
The contests is an all-star game featuring the top collegiate football players from the two border states from all college levels. The fourth annual contest will held April 20 at 1 p.m. at the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
In 2012, Harman was honored as CMU’s Special Teams Player of the Year for the second straight season.
He connected on 15-of-20 field goals — including four of 45 yards or more — and converted 43-of-44 PATs. Harman established new career longs in field goals twice in 2012, setting his personal best with a 51-yard effort versus Ball State. With 88 for the season, Harman ranked 10th in the MAC in points scored.
CMU quarterback Ryan Radcliff is also on the team.
Osorio set to sign with Concordia
LELAND — Leland volleyball standout Maggie Osorio is set to sign her national letter-of-intent to play for Concordia University today.
Concordia coach Karen Graves is slated to make the trip to Leland to have Osorio sign at 12:20 p.m. Thursday.
