West's Cronin to walk on at MSU

TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City West's Kevin Cronin will be joining Riley Bullough as an incoming freshman on the Michigan State football team.

Cronin, a kicker, decided to accept a walk-on position with the Spartans. He turned down scholarship money from Grand Valley and a preferred walk-on opportunity at Central Michigan.

Cronin will join Holt's Evan Fischer as walk-on kicking candidates. Cronin was 33 of 35 on extra points, 3 of 4 on field goals and had 44 of his 47 kickoffs go for touchbacks.
