TC West beats Dearborn Edsel Ford

Titans defeat Edsel Ford at Ferris State

BIG RAPIDS — Quarterback Brett Kenny rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns Saturday evening as Traverse City West defeated Dearborn Edsel Ford 28-13 in a non-conference game at Ferris State University.

The Titans are now 3-3.

West led 22-0 at half. Ronnie Saunders led the ground game with 94 yards. He capped an 80-yard drive with a short TD run in the first half.

Cody Scheuerman picked up 66 yards on the ground.

The Titans — who have won two in a row and three of their last four — were led defensively by linebacker Morgan Tolle, who registered seven tackles. Jesse Schwartz was in on six stops and Zane Rusinowski and Hunter Tucker five apiece.

Edsel Ford falls to 2-4.

The Titans (1-1 Big North Conference) travel to play Big North Conference co-leader Petoskey (6-0) next Friday before a road game with Alpena. West finishes the regular season against Traverse City Central at Thirlby Field.

TC West posted a 46-14 junior varsity win over Dearborn Edsel Ford to even its record at 3-3.

The Titans' Robert Hunter ran for 152 yards and three touchdowns.

On defense, West was led by James Peck (eight tackles) and Georden Carter (sack).
