ELK RAPIDS — With two straight-set wins over Harbor Springs and Elk Rapids on Tuesday, St. Francis finished Lake Michigan Conference play with a 14-0 record.
The Glads (33-7-3) beat the Rams 25-8, 25-14, 25-11 and the Elks 25-19, 25-19, 26-24.
On the night, St. Francis served up 47 aces.
Bridget Bussell had 13 aces and 33 kills in the win while Sophie Spencer had six aces and five kills, Kaitlyn Hegewald had 54 assists and eight aces, Madeline Rysztak had 11 kills and six aces while Megan Knudsen had 13 digs.
St. Francis is at the Suttons Bay quad on Thursday with the Norse, Lake City and Leland.
TCC boys win Gaylord Invite
The TC Central Black team scored 29 points to win the boys race at the Gaylord Invitational.
The Trojans were followed by Mancelona (139) and Alpena (142).
Josh Wojan from East Jordan won in 17:32. Finishing third for the Trojans was Jordan Query (17:46), Marco Morcote was fourth (18:01), Tyler Sepanik was sixth (18:06), Graeme Bevier was seventh (18:13) and Blake Beyer took ninth (18:21).
