FINAL: Kingsley 21, McBain 14

KINGSLEY — The streak is still alive.

Kingsley downed McBain Thursday night 21-14 at Rodes Field to start the 2013 football season and keep its home winning streak intact. The Stags haven't lost a game at home in almost 3 years.

The Stags (1-0) were dealt a bit of a blow early in the game as 2012 All-Northwest Conference tight end/defensive tackle Scott McPherson sat most of the first quarter with a hurt ankle.

Kingsley scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter and kicked the extra point to take a 21-6 lead. The Ramblers (0-1) responded with a 54-yard touchdown pass and made the two-point conversion to cut Kingsley's lead to 21-14.

McBain intercepted a Stag pass in the end zone with less than three minutes to go, but couldn't tie up the game.
