MESICK — Autumn Goggin exploded for 40 points, surpassing the career 1,000-point mark in the process, as Kingsley defeated Mesick 62-22 in a Northwest Conference contest Thursday.
Goggin, a 5-8 senior, needed 31 points to reach 1,000. She also finished the night with nine steals and nine rebounds. Lilly Rawlings added nine points for Kingsley (14-6, 10-4), which faces the Manistee-Benzie winner on Wednesday in the Class C district at Kingsley.
Frankfort raced to a 41-4 lead at half en route to a 60-14 Northwest Conference win over Buckley.
The Panthers finished league play a perfect 14-0 and concluded the regular season at 19-1.
Shayla Soto and Anna Hunt scored 10 points apiece while Pauline Lausten added nine for the Panthers, who will face the Buckley-Onekama winner on Wednesday in Class D district play.

Sara Goodchild’s 29 points powered Benzie Central to a 61-54 Northwest Conference win over Leland.
Libby Munoz led Leland (7-13) with 33 points. Caitlin McKee added 14 points and Madison Trumbull 18 rebounds. The Comets host Northport in the Class D district on Monday.

Alex LaCross had 10 points, three rebounds and three steals to lead Glen Lake to a 40-26 Northwest Conference win over Suttons Bay.
Jessica Lee and Jordan Peplinski added eight points apiece for the Lakers (14-6, 11-3). Peplinski pulled down eight rebounds.
Delaney Kaufman’s seven points and 12 rebounds topped Suttons Bay (9-11, 7-7). Samara Slocombe and Andrea Emery added six points.
Suttons Bay faces Grand Traverse Academy in Monday’s Class D district opener at Leland. Glen Lake travels to Lake City to play the host Trojans in Monday’s Class C district.

Leighten Koepke’s 17 points and four rebounds paced Bellaire to a 35-26 Ski Valley win over Onaway.
The Eagles finished 17-3 overall, 14-2 in the league.

Manton upset Beal City 71-66 in overtime in a Highland Conference battle.
“That’s the first time we’ve beaten them in five years — 11 losses in a row,” Manton coach Ryan Hiller said.
The Rangers forced overtime when Tyler Swing scored at the buzzer. Matt Skiver paced the Rangers (7-11) with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Jonah Nelson added 15 points, freshman Treh Helsel 13 and Swing 12 to go with nine rebounds.
